45 fresh air lovers performed our annual snow dance, otherwise known as the Run for Snow Run/Walk. Now it’s up to Mother Nature to come through with the white stuff so we can quit running and start skiing. Women ruled today as Trina Ritchey and Naomi McCrea outdistanced the pack of 16 runners that completed the competitive 10K. 29 others completed the non-competitive 5K. The lucky ones took home a bag of delicious organic fruit donated by Ela Family Farms of Hotchkiss. An additional treat was the drive to and from with Fall colors starting to burst forth on Grand Mesa. As always, volunteers make it happen so a big shout out to course marshals Betsy and Jeff and registration helpers Judy, Tom, Susie, John and Nike. Now, let it snow!
