The Grand Mesa 10km Classic Race

Join us for another splendid ski race on some of the best snow and terrain in the U.S. Our races are challenging for the top athletes, but also fun for the rest of us who just want to get out and test ourselves against an enjoyable course.

The Grand Mesa Classic is a 10km race in classical technique. The course route is posted below.

We encourage skiers to show off their “classic” ski attire at this race, and we’ll give special recognition to those who race on vintage gear (25+ years old).

This race is part of the Grand Mesa Nordic Race Series presented by Empowered Energy Systems.

Bib pickup and start are at Skyway Trailhead off of Highway 65 on the Grand Mesa.

The race starts at 11 am.

$25 entry fee for current members of the GMNC (discount taken at checkout)

$30 entry fee for non-members

$20 entry fee for collegiate racers and racers under age 20.

+$5 race day entry fee in person

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. ONSITE REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE RACE DAY.

NOTE: Road closures do happen on Grand Mesa, and there can be weather so nasty even us nordic stalwarts find it necessary to postpone a race. Please check the website or our Facebook page for late-breaking news regarding races before heading up.
