Born and raised a beach bum near Mustang/North Padre Islands in south Texas made Susie a surprisingly good transplant to the Western Slope of Colorado. She graduated UT-Austin with a degree in Biology and accidentally landed in Crested Butte several years after college. She loved mountain life in that charming, funky ski town and getting outdoors to play whenever/however she could. The corporate world got her from there to Grand Junction via Denver and she was thrilled to be back on the Western Slope. She spent several decades traveling our vast mountains as a medical sales rep in healthcare. An avid back-country telemark skier, it was a skating clinic in Crested Butte that started her winter Nordic addiction on the Grand Mesa. Other hobbies include gardening/biking(road & mtn)/alpine skiing/scuba diving/travel and anything to do with Mother Nature and her incredible creatures and wildlife that make our world such a fascinating place.
